James Smith

My name is James. I’m 32 years old, married with a young family. I am originally from Ramsbottom and now live in Tottington near Bury.

My background is in Customer Service which means I know what customers want and expect, and importantly,  how to provide quality of service and first class driving lessons.

A large proportion of my career to date has involved driving, and having experienced the often poor standards that qualified drivers display,  road safety is a subject I am passionate about.

 

In view of this I don’t just teach pupils the skills to pass a test – I teach them to drive to a higher level - and with the right attitude!

I’ll teach you how to have fun driving – but at the same time doing so safely.

 

My car is a Ford Focus– a great car to learn in and like all Quicksilver training cars it has all the safety equipment you would expect including dual controls.

The test centres I usually cover are Bury, Bolton, Cheetham Hill and Blackburn but if you prefer a different area just let me know.

Gary Moore

(covering Rochdale, Middleton, Prestwich, Bury, North Manchester)

Hi  I‘m Gary. I live in Middleton and joined Quicksilver as an instructor in 2009.

I estimate that I have driven over 1 million miles during my career. I love driving and passing on my skills. My passion for driving shows in the manner in which I teach.

 

First class tuition is the standard I work by and this means you will learn to drive properly in a reasonable amount of time.  I’ll help you with your theory and hazard perception training and always give you an achievable target to aim for during your lessons to ensure that you make progress quickly. As a result of this my pass-rate is well above the national average.

The main test centres I cover are Bury, Rochdale, and Cheetham Hill.

 

I also provide Pass Plus and refresher courses for qualified drivers and “up-grade” lessons for those who need to drive as part of their job.

My car is a Peugeot 207 – easy to drive and very manoeuvrable – so let’s get started!

 

 

Amanda Johnstone

(covering Rossendale, Bury and Bolton)

My name is Amanda and I live in Haslingden.

Working as a Driving Insrructor has been my ambition since I was a teenager, so by joining Quicksilver I am fulfilling a long held goal.

Like all of our instructors, I have been trained by Quicksilver, so that along with my enthusiasm and commitment, this means top quality driving lessons for you.

My car is the latest model Ford KA - a dream to drive and maneouver - so learn quickly and enjoy the process.
